How to Enjoy Afternoon Tea in Central Florida
Central Florida is home to so many attractions. Whether you are a thrill seeker, animal lover, professional shopper or nature explorer, we have it all. But, sometimes I get tired of hearing about Disney, Universal Studios, or Seaworld. It’s why I created this series – completely dedicated to exploring and highlighting other areas of Central Florida.
In this installment of my A Tank Away Series, I will be visiting the Tea Room Experience. Located in downtown Orlando, this cute tea room is everything an afternoon tea should be!
What to Expect
If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that I love afternoon tea. You just can’t beat the scones, tea sandwiches, sugary treats and a nice cup of tea in my mind. I am SO happy that I found a tea room in Orlando that I can go to!
Within walking distance to all that downtown Orlando has to offer, including Lake Eola, sits an incognito storefront below an apartment community. If there hadn’t been a small sign indicating that I had found the tea room, I might have missed it. Once I stepped inside though, I knew I had found the right place. Such a cute set-up awaited me!
Decorated with all things tea related, it is everything you could ask for a tea room. It even has a stand of hats for you to wear if you’d like to enhance your experience! Once I finished choosing my tea (an ice wine tea), I waited in anticipation for my favorite part – the treats! And boy, they did not disappoint!
Delicate finger sandwiches, bite-sized pastries, mini chocolate creations and of course, scones with clotted cream awaited to be eaten. Everything was incredibly delicious, however, I think the macarons were my favorite. I LOVE macarons! All in all, this is a wonderful way to spend a few hours with friends and/or family!
